The local by-laws are a document contain the rules, regulations and processes that all business within the local follow and should be accessible to everyone in the local.
Local 511's by-laws were based on CAPE National's Framework, then adjusted for the needs of our local and passed a vote at a general membership meeting.

The local executive publishes a monthly newsletter with information concerning our local, our union, the broader Canadian and international labour movement and ongoing actions in support of our communities and the people who live in them.
Archive of past editions
The local executive meetings on a weekly basis or as needed to discuss ongoing local business. Other ad-hoc events can be found on the homepage in the events calendar.
General meetings, including annual general meetings are by invitation only and are open to members of the local, observers and CAPE staff. Notifications of general meetings are sent by email, two weeks in advance.
The next annual general meeting of Local 511 is scheduled for March 11, 2025: Register to attend.
The following recurring events are scheduled and hosted by CAPE national. As much as possible, Local 511's executive attempts to have representation from our local in attendance, and encourages members of the 511 to contribute by attending.
